What is the best way to attach a plastic outlet or switch box to adobe?
I have cut holes into the adobe so the box is flush mounted.
Hope you can help, I've searched the internet with no results.

It's called an "old work" box.

Thanks Larry for the reply.

I actually have a cement coated solid adobe brick wall that I have cut out the .25" thick cement coating and into the adobe brick for a total of about 3.5" deep to flush mount the outlet box into the wall.

Was just wondering what is best to secure the box to the surrounding adobe brick.

PS - Old work boxes are working great were I have a lath & plaster hallow wall.
