I'm getting estimates to put in a new breaker box and I have a simple question. Is is code to need a dedicated GFCI outlet connected directly to the breaker box? I was told by one guy I would need a GFCI outlet off the breaker box in case work had to be done on the box a power supply would be there. It doesn't sound like a bad idea but is it generally code to require it?
