I am planning on re-siding my house with vinyl.

However i currenty have vertical cedar siding on my house. I pulled one of the "blown in insallation" plugs out, and found that there is no OSB sheeting, just foam boards and insallation covered by cedar siding. I really dont want to tear it off and have to sheet my house. Can i just wrap the house and side over the cedar? Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!
