Can someone help with this...

If my home is wood framed with front brick facing, do I've to keep the mortar left out (keep it open) in the side where my brick facing side joins with Vinyl siding to allow any condensation between the exterior sheathing and the brickwork to escape to the outdoors or it can be filled up with the mortar ? Please let me know.

Also please suugest me good Dehumidifier (Make / Model / size) for my basement (600 Sq ft) ?

Thanks for the help in advance.

That vertical seam can be closed - probably with J-trim.

But be sure you have tarpaper on the sheathing behind the brick, and that there are clean weepholes at the base of the brick veneer wall

Excellence is its own reward!

Thanks for your reply.

What is J-Trim ? Where do I get that ?

Again I'm not sure whether I've tar paper over sheathing or not and also I don't see any weepholes at the base. It look like original bricks rather than brick veneer (layer)

Please elt me know what do you suggest ?
