I recently installed a new sewage ejector pump in my basement. When it discharges it ends with a very loud "thunk." Is there anything available that will act as a shock absorber to prevent this loud noise?

When installing any type of sewer ejector /sump pump it is a great idea to use a soft seat check valve to prevent hydraulic shock (water hammering)

Check valves are notorious for causing THUNKING through out a system
