My mom had her house reroofed and trusted the roofers to use the right materials. However they used 7/16 OSB forall the sheathing - including open soffits and overhangs. Not the look you want on a 600k home you are trying to fix up. Needless to say unhappy. What is the best route to try to repair this problem? Possibly just paint the OSB in less visible areas? The paint shop said to use oil primer and paint, however Georgia Pacific website says to use acryllic latex.

A builder who looked at the roofer's work just shook his head and suggested pinning up plywood to cover. Where this is done should the OSB be painted first then possibly glue/nail in the plywood with some moulding on edges for appearances? Thanks.
