My neighbor told me I should use powdered lime on my tomatoes (the soil here is very acid) but said that the pelletized lime is not good for them. However, he didn't know why. Can anyone tell me?
Also, what's "dolemite"?

The reason behind using lime when planting tomatoes is to lessen blossom end rot, Powerded/crushed lime is more avaliable to the plants than peletized lime.

Dolamite is a type of limestone
