I have a roll of White Rubber with a grey back that I want to put on my flat roof.
Can I use contact cement to glue it to my roof?
Do I have to use a special adhesive?
Is anyone familiar with this type of material and who might manufacture it?
I would appreciate any help that you can supply.
Thank you,
John

1) No !!
2) Yes,...but you`ll swear it`s contact cement !!
3)Done a zillion,..Some NE manufacturers are.....Firestone, Genflex. Carlisle, John Mansfield, and Goodyear. Be careful not to mix the two types of glue,...Black colored,....For rubber to rubber contact, both surfaces, ONLY. Yellow colored, both surfaces,...for anything else. You must mix the glues very very well. Do not use over asphalt or paint cuz when the paint peels,...so will the rubber.
I suggest you do not do the job unless the roof is flat with four eves. You will have to use edge metal on those edges and tape over the metal. Use a pushbroom to sweep the rubber down tight and a roller or rollerskate to flatten the tape to the metal.
