ceemae, do you KNOW the product or are you speculating? I install various metal roofing including aluminum shingles, and Interlock (Finall) is one of my competitors. If the roof was properly installed in the first place, it will last a very long time. I've fixed a number that were poorly installed, and the problems with that system are almost always workmanship-related.

Verybaddkitty, go into the attic and check for leakage around the chimney, valleys, and roof openings. If you don't see signs of leakage, mold, or other signs of trouble, the likelihood is that you'll be fine. These kind of roofs, if they fail, usually fail within the first few years. This roof has been on for 22 years, and the only thing that may be wearing out is the caulking (which is why I suggested you look for leaks).

I have had one for over 2 years and recommend it as an excellent product. My house has been cooler in summer and warmer in winter. Snow does not build up on it and it looks great

I would suggest that the on-line discouraging remarks are a result of a poor install. People are more inclined to complain when things go wrong than to boast when things work out as they are expectted to. My roof was put on over the existing roof and I love it.
