I need to replace my siding. I would like to replace with a cement-fiber lap siding (such as Hardi). Here is my questions. My current siding is 5/8 T-111. Can this siding be installed over the current. Should a housing wrap or felt paper be put over the current siding. Is there any R value to the cement siding. I live in a hot, high area of California and insulation is important.a
