We have a log home, that needs alot of repair. Our immediate concern is the rotting logs that are on or next to the ground. The rotting is mainly on the north side of the home, but we want to repair and reinforce the whole perimeter. Underneath the floor is a dirt cellar. Eventually, we want to make it deep enough to put in a hot water tank, furnace, etc. Reinforcing the outside of the log home is a big concern, because it is a two-storey and it needs better support. Now we cannot go into a great expense, but we want to do one wall at a time if possible. Does anyone know what needs to be done?
