My basement does not leak. Only during the summer months, moisture causes mildew & the dehumidifier to runs constantly. It also develops a very musty odor. A window fan appears to help as one wall is at ground level.Is the moisture coming up from the floor? If so, I assume a vapor barrier and subfloor is needed. I have seen on this BB to put treated strips, plastic and then second strips and then sub-flooring. Would this appear feasible in my case? Thanks.
