I am planning on finishing the basement of our new house but I wonder if we should apply a water sealant on the poured concrete wall or not. What do you think and if the answer is yes, do you have any recommendation

No. If you have water problems, the sealers will not cure them. If you don't have water problems, you don't need it.
Fixing water problems from the inside is temporary at best.
Have you done the moisture test? Tape a 3'x3' plastic to the floor. Tape on all edges. Check it in a few days. If there is moisture between the plastic andthe concrete, you have a moisture problem.
