I have recently discovered water in my crawlspace under the house and I am trying to figure out hoe to correct the problem. It only happens after it rains and seems to be coming in on the rear of the foundation under the first course of block.I will use a wet vac and clean it out which helps until it rains again but this is getting old.

I contacted a company that specializes in waterproofing but they want to install a interior pump system with out even coming out to look at it.

I seem to think it is a grading problem but don't know how to go about starting. Can I use top soil or is there another way to do it?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Paul
