Being in the market for a new home I have seen many which have the typical unfinished basements with the really low ceilings. The property in question also has the furnace & boiler and a large beam directly in the centre of the basement. I was wondering if it very expensive or even possible to finish these basements given the extremely low ceiling and the placement of the furance/boiler etc.
