Last year Floyd left 2.5 foot wet wake up call! Since then we added & diverted down spouts, graded away from the foundation, and sealed with "DryLock". The question is where to place the pump? There is a small storage area/room with a dirt floor that is not part of the basement slab. This area was created as a foundation of an addition to the house at some point. Should I dig there or should I cut into the slab and place the pump under the main basement slab?
