We are looking to purchase a 1971 home that has aluminum wiring. The sellers are putting in GFI outlets and AlumiConn pigtails. I know rewiring the home is the best and safest option, but at close to $10,000 that's a little pricey. Is the AlumiConn pigtails and GFI outlets safe, or should we still be concerned.
