I have horses, (yeah, er, boo) They trashed the pasture during the winter and now its time to restore it. When is a good time in northern illinois to lay down new seed, and I have some areas of lawn that needs tilling and planting where I put in water lines last year, when would be a good time to get that started and would covering it all with straw be a good idea?
