I am looking to build a house and I am told that prior to putting 4" concrete in basement that I should put a layer of 6 mil plastic underneath. Where would the water from the concrete go if this is the case. Should the plastic go on the soil and then put 4" gravel prior to the concrete which would give the moisture from the concrete a place to go.
