I am looking to ccreate a either a tiered or flat level water pond in the corner of my yard. Any suggestions as to the best way to begin approaching a job like this?

I noticed that Lowe's and Home Depot have pre-designed kits that have those "easy-to-follow" directions but I am always leary of kits such as these. I am not all that handy but I can follow step-by-step directions

Suggestions would be appreciated.

You will need a good strong back and a shovel. Once you master the use of the shovel the rest is easy. Dont put it around trees, the roots are a pain in the butt to dig through. If you plan to use the liner type, have someone help with laying it out, make sure the hole is smooth without any rock or projections and you should be ok. A pnd is really nothing more than a hole in the ground with a liner. You will need to use your imagination to make it look good.
