MY HUSBAND AND I ARE REDOING ARE BATHROOM AND HAVE HARDWOOD FLOORING THAT CAME OUT OF OUR CHURCH'S OLD SCHOOL HOUSE THAT IS BEING TORN DOWN. THIS IS TRUE HARDWOOD FLOORING NOT A LAMINATE. WE ARE WANTING TO USE THIS WOOD FOR THE BATHROOM FLOOR HOWEVER OUR CONTRACTOR HAS WORRIES REGARDING MOISTURE WHICH I CAN UNDERSTAND. IT IS JUST MY HUSBAND AND I NO CHILDREN IN THE HOME. JUST NEED SOME GUIDANCE AS NOT SURE WHAT TO DO? ALSO WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE BEST KIND OF POLYURETHANE/SEALER FOR THE WOOD AS IT IS GOING TO BE IN A BATHROOM? THANKS!!

I would think that you will be ok as long as you are careful and both of you realize that there is a remote possibility of water damage.
I would check at your local home improvement store for a recommended finish.
I would also recommend applying a clear silicone caulk around the parameter and along the tub to seal all edges.
