Bvbasement
Same basement. It is finished on the one side with Knotty Pine on the walls and there is a smell in the basement that is like a 'musty' smell but I can't figure it out. The finished side of the basement is not carpeted due to there having been a flood a couple months ago. Could there be mold in/around the tiles?

Hi!

I am going threw a similar problem, the difference is that I know what the smell is caused by. I had boxes on the floor of a new house which the floor has not been sealed yet, they had mold all over them, mold causes that bad smell. I've done a lot of research on this and I would suggest that you look carefully at every part of the basement to see if you can see any mold, if so that could be your problem. Mold can even get into your heating system if it's in the basement so you might want to check around that too. Hope that helps~
