If you can get hold of an ozone machine, they're great at removing smoke odor. If not, you can use a primer like kilz and paint the walls, ceiling and trim and then repaint. It's a lot of work but it will take care of a good portion of the odor. A steamer will remove it from the carpeting.

I agree with Daniel. Painting your walls, particularly with KILS, can be effective in getting rid of the cigarette smoke smell around your house. The paint does seal the smell away. Or you could also try applying vinegar and water; they can also be a remedy in removing smoke stain and odor.
