I recently purchased a home that is 12 yrs old and was built with a French Drain. There is a 1" space between the basement floor and the foundation wall. It seems to have always worked well. My question is if I install a dehumidifier in the basement can I have it drain directly into the French Drain??

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Not sure what a 1 inch gap between foundation wall and interior slab has to do with your exterior french drain.

Your humidifier should be drained to a plumbing drain or a floor drain if you have one.
