Bvbasement
Hi,

I am installing a non load-bearing partition in my basement that will follow the entire length of the front foundation wall. The plates will probably be 2 or 3 PT boards inline to span that length(twice this for a top plate and doubler). Are there any issues or techniques with measurements, stud placements, joint construction, etc I should be aware of?

thanx!!

If you're going to put up drywall, you'll need the standard 16" spacing on the vertical studs. Don't forget to overlap on top plate for stiffness. You'll need to attach to the overhead joists somehow. I would use powder acuated fasteners to nail sill to concrete.
