I'm replacing old metal framed windows in my basement. I'd like to use vinyl slider replacements, but the smallest size I could find is 14 1/2" X 31 3/4". This gives me 1/2 play on long side and almost NO play vertically in the cement opening.
My question is, is there a way to "cement" the replacement windows in as opposed to installing a wood frame as recommended, which would drastically cut down on replacement window size for me?
