....."be prepared to weed through an array of proposals from waterproofing contractors--ALOT of them BOGUS. Done right, basement waterproofing is an EXTERIOR operation.....SUPPOSED-solutions like pumping 'special'compounds along the exterior wall aren`t likely to work. There are also INTERIOR systems. But they`re based on the SHAKY premise of letting the foundation leak...."

The fines are severe for contractors that excavate without precautions ($49,000 per incident)...these are photos of licensedwaterproofer 's jobsites.....In addition to the total disregard to the trenches the debris lying in the street is a lawsuit waiting to happen.....

....you are.

hey bullwinkle, there are a couple cities who require a permit to place dirt in the street during the day so, i pull it. The dirt is in the street for about 4-6 hours, thats it. MOST cities do NOT have ANY problem w/dirt in the street for several hours during the day, been doing this for 30 freakin YEARS!!! You think i am the only contractor who puts dirt in street? lolol Hey, many waterproofing/concrete contractors have been doing so for DECADES! Your a loser Brewster.

You must be grandfather'd in, it seems regulations don't apply to you, that's cuz you do it the "right way." This regulation applies to the entire state of Michigan, FYI, State Law supercedes local law....

A few hours to move what looks to be around five + yards of dirt (you already said you do it by hand)? Does your metal plate hurt after all that work?

let me ask the great one, what would YOU propose a HO to do when they have crack(s)on exterior of block wall and/or, when they have clay-soil/roots and sometimes a porch-footing leaning-pushing against an exterior wall that CAUSED the crack(s),that CAUSED a wall to bow in?

What? Some sort of an Inside System which will NOT,repeat NOT relieve-lessen these EXTERIOR pressures/exterior weight that CAUSED the problem in the first place!

That would be BONEHEADED, that would INCOMPETENT/NEGLIGENT and YOU would be,will be SUED for NOT recommending the HO remove/eliminate the CAUSE. DUH!!

And allowing WATER to CONTINUE to enter, to continue to pass through the wall, the joints between the blocks can most certainly CAUSE MORE damage to bsmt wall! Duh.

Injecting BOGUS CRAP into the soil will NOT do SQUAT! And i will help ANY HO SUE YOU, if thats what YOU recommend, I`ll also help ANY HO SUE ANY nitwit company who recommends to HO to install an INSIDE SYSTEM as it will NOT remove/lessen these CAUSES.

I`d also SUE the CRAP outta the STATE or anyone else who is as incompetent as you are. Yeah right, leave the expanding-contracting soil and/or roots and/or porch footing etc against exterior of wall.....let water to continue to enter through the dumb wall....this is YOUR answer eh? LOL Some are CLUELESS, you are one.

the dumb soil in the street is surrounded by pylons and markers, has already been okayed by the cities and i`ll say again, is out there from 8am ish to 12-1pm....yup, thats it. Come SEE for yourself BONEHEAD.

if ANY driver hits US, hits the soil then it is THEIR negligent driving and THEY are at fault, duh!

why don`t YOU come and hit the soil w/YOUR car and we`ll see what happens.

I can`t stand these fraudulent posters like BONEHEAD.One day, they`ll get what they`ve had coming to them for ripping off homeowners....yup.

You must be one of those SCAMMER-companies who INJECT CRAP into the soil and/or install only inside systems.....a fraud.Have a nice day Boney.

...Great Lks Waterpfg? lolol

Companies like this are incompetent and do not diagnose/determine the HO`s actual problem, thats right. And since they do not then they are at least misrepresenting what the HO needs to stop water from entering and possibly relieve exterior pressure/weight. Very possibly they are defrauding many HO`s....thats right.

ANY company who says crap/lies like.....'we have eliminated the need for digging with our patented Bentonite Injection SYSTEM.It is injected into the soil and coats the walls from the footing to grade'. LOL, this is a LIE, a misrepresentation, incompetence, fraud!

Same w/Inside drain tile or baseboard systems, most often sold/installed on FALSE CLAIMS and they do not stop water from entering through exterior cracks and other exterior openings and do not remove/lessen exterior soil pressure, roots, footings which cause many cracks and quite a few walls to bow inward.

And ANY company installing sheeting on INSIDE wall(s),right against the basement wall is HIDING the condition of the wall! SCAM!
