Hello, I am new here. I have been getting all kinds of advice from some very knowledgeable people but want to make sure I am doing the right thing. I have just torn the old paneling off the basement walls and found 2by2's with some kind of strips of paper behind each stud. I would like to leave this in place as it appears very dry and has been there for many years. I plan to put some rigid foam insulation between the studs and then drywall. Is this going to cause any problems in the future for me? Is there rigid foam that is thin enough to go between 2by2's? Thanks
