...our basement, which has a french drain with that black 'snow fence' looking plastic that goes about 3 inches up the block walls. We just installed a tile floor and want to finish the walls, but need to install some sort of vented baseboard first to cover that black plastic. any ideas???

If you could provide a picture of the area, I maybe able to help. I install specialty baseboard in basements all the time. I'm sure we can figure something out. It would be a pleasure to help you find a solution.

Since I do not check it every day, please be patient with a reply.

Here's a pic of the basement, and also some of the obstacles we have...not just a square room and very un-even walls make it a challange. Any help you can offer is welcome!!

Well, the baseboard I had in mind probably would not work. Johnsonite make a removable vinyl baseboard that we use in a lot of floor prone areas. Our customers love it. However, I'm not sure you could properly mount the backing onto your wall. Maybe you can use standard, non wood baseboard from home depot and perforate it to allow water flow. You may have to get creative. Just make sure the area is clean before you mount any baseboard.
