3,4,5,6,7 pic`s from inside basement. sometimes, you see hairline vertical/step/horizontal cracks on inside wall(s). Not all cracks that are on outside of wall are vsible/appear on inside....see pic 4, corner
8,9,10,11 see that fat ROOT against basement wall, near corner. There were several roots in this area, its why corner is cracked.
Inside drain tile systems do not remove these roots that are pushing on wall, outside. Nor do they relieve/lessen lateral hydrostatic soil pressure.
14,15,16 crack at corner, back wall...goes down a bit and towards side wall.
17,18,19 side wall, there are 2 vertical cracks near corner, one goes down about 5' and turns into a horizontal crack that runs the entire length of wall, towards front. No inside system will stop/prevent further water from entering these cracks. Won`t stop possibility of termites and other insects from entering basement/house.
20 sometimes one will notice vertical or step cracks in bricks...above a cracked wall
22 used 50# of hydraulic cement to repair corner block, then apply thick asphalt `n visqueen, backfill w/peastone.
Carbon fiber straps and the like doesn`t remove roots that push against walls on outside
