Does anyone know what the code is as far as window size in inches to allow a finished basement room to be classified as a Bedroom?

I live in MA.

I know there has to be access for fire reasons, i just want to know what the code for minimum window size is.

Local codes may vary, it is best to call your local building department and ask for egress codes.

Check out the link below for some general info on the subject. Your local codes may follow these or be close.

Also, make sure your basement is free of mold before you decide to finish the basement. If you let me know where in Mass you are, I can give you the name of a reputable environmental company.
