We recently had a potential home inspected and noticed several steps cracks in the block foudation wall. Is this a concern?

Any time you have cracks, it poses the question of why is there a crack.

Cracks are quite common and for the most part quite manageable.

Unless the crack is severe or if you notice movement over time, then it is an issue. There are movement gauges that can monitor movement in cracks. They are inexpensive and work very well.

There are "crack" experts in the phone book, give one a call and go from there.
