I was curious if anyone had a suggestion as to what to use to insulate around the door frame. We replaced 2 doors this summer. We have not replaced the moulding yet, and there is a gap between where the frame of the door is and the framing in the house is. There is a draft that comes in because of this. Do we just use the spray foam insulation stuff in a can to do the job? Is there something better we should use instead? Thanks for your help!

I have seen carpenters simply cut a length off a roll of insulation and stuff it in the cracks. However, I suspect the spray-in insulation would do a better job, particularly since you can detect a draft now.
If you can see daylight anywhere, make sure those cracks are sealed first with a good caulk.
