My wife & I are building a log house w/4"x8" exposed beams on 3'centers w/2x6 t&g on top of the 4x8's. I was watching home again, season 5, cabin in the woods series today. They had a similar roof and were installing a "nailable" isulation right on top of the t&g.The show didnt get back to the roof it just covered the install of a cool skylight.
Now that I have described the series I hope we can relate. Will this nailable insulate be applied directly on top of the 30 lb felt or will a 1" airspace be created. If so, how? Firring strips? Those new syrofoam venting products? The show alluded that the roofing was to be nailed directly to this nailable insulate. What is this stuff & where can it be found? Thanks K&H
