I have rubber wall and thin foamboard on my exterior basement walls that are below ground. I will have a small house dehumdier installed in the basment. Metal stud framework. I plan on attaching foamnboard with liguid nails directly to the interior conrete wall. Most areas the frame work is built out so I will have 4in foamboard and other area 2 or 3in. there will be about 1 - 8in air space between the foamboard and sheetrock. I have never had water or mositure in the basement. Will this wall assembly work for absolutly no mold growth?

Can I just put it between the studs and not adhere to basement cement wall?
