Our house has a room 43 by 12 which use to be a covered barbeque/party area. The previous owner decided to completely enclose this area. There is an airtight in this room to heat it, unfortunately the room does not hold the heat very well. Two questions I have. One of the walls is the exterior brick wall to an unheated garage. What would be the best way to insulate this wall? The floor is ceramic tile over a concrete slab on grade. Should I build a subfloor and then carpet or can I lay the carpet right over the ceramic floor. We have been here one year and I have not noticed any moisture problems in this room.
