I am in the process of finishing off my unheated garage and have noticed that after

insulating and installing a vapor barrier, condensation between the insulation and plastic vapor barrier. I would like to finish my garage by installing drywall, but am concerned about mold with the condensation issue. Would I be better off not having the vapor barrier?? I live in Minnesota.

A garage does not really need a vapor barrier because it does not have the moisture drive and tempature differences that house has.

Specially this time of year.

Now exactly where did you see this condensation. Which wall, what part of the wall, which surface?

And what kind of vapor barrier and what kind of insulation?

I would be more suspicous of a leak of some type.
