I want to finish my basement family room ceiling. We want to sound proof it somewhat because the kids watch movies and play down there and we do not want all the noise upstairs coming through the floor. The floors upstairs are carpeted. The basement ceiling is unfinished. What are some recommendations on accomplishing this?
