I NEED TO PUT INSULATION IN THE ATTIC WHICH CONTAINS THE FURNANCE. MY QUESTION IS...DO YOU INSULATE THE ATTIC CEILING OR DO YOU INSULATE THE ATTIC FLOOR? I HAVE BEEN TOLD BOTH WAYS AND I AM NOT SURE WHICH IS THE RIGHT WAY TO GO WITH THIS. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY INFORMATION YOU COULD OFFER.

I believe the common/proper way is to insulate the attic floor. That is what I see in most house attics. Either blow in in with loose fill or bats paper side down.I just added additional insulation in my attic floor this past winter.
