We are remodeling and have wood doors and trim that are stained dark brown. The wood is beautiful and in good condition, but we are replacing cabinets with a natural maple, and it does not match. Is there any way to refinish the doors to a light or natural wood color, that is not too time consuming or costly? Right now it seems like we will probably end up just painting, and it seems like a shame to cover all that wood.
