The house is 160 yrs old and has a well pump and tall galvanized tank in the basement. We have public water and would like to remove it. Who does this kind of work and can it cause problems when removing it? We don't know where the well is. All the wiring to the pump is still there and large galvanized pipes. Ther is a new circuiy breaker box with nothing mentioned about the electric pump.
