I have caradco wood windows that have clouded up. How do I replace the glass in those windows myself and what tools do I need. I also need to know how to measure the panes.

- replacing double paned glass
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe double pane windows are sealed, and have a type of gas inside. You can't do that yourself.
If you sealed them with just air between the panes, I think there'd be moisture problems.

you will have to call a glass company to make up the panels for you.to measure take the daylight opening and add a 1/2".and you will need to know the air space between the to panes. good luck
rpxlpx...I will correct you! double pane glass is sealed, but not all manufacturers gas fill. It is becoming more and more common, but not a necessity. The gases most frequently used are argon and krypton. And secondly, the moisture between the two panes is not due to the lack of gas fill, it is a failure of the sealant used or the workmanship of whoever applied it. Just an FYI!
