We want to replace our sliding patio door, front door and picture window. We went to pella and looked at their Patio doors which I loved. Also liked the Bay window and front entry doors. I was surprised I guess that they were so expensive. Now the other companies products don't look that good after seeing the Pella products. For those of you out there wtih Pella windows and doors please tell me whether or not you are happy with them and do you think it was worth the expense. I really love the blinds in the glass and the roll away screens.

I am putting in some casement pella windows now. They install real easy however they come unprimed (inside) and are kind of a pain to paint. Lots of nooks and crannies. They do look very good though and I get lots of compliments.

Pella's are cheap compared to some other window makes, they are comparable to Andersen's in cost. But there are companies out there that are 2 or 3 times higher priced and usually better quality.

I bought Andersen's because I didn't want to finish the inside of them. I hear Pella is making some windows now with a white sealer paint on them. But you are out of luck with the doors.

It's those extra toys that you are impressed with that ad to the cost, not quality of construction. They are about average value but not my first choice. I go to Andersen for an economical value and to Marvin for high quality and custom sizes. Pella has done some poor quality millwork. The doors of theirs that I've used are better than their windows though.

If you're considering Pella ProLine -- don't. They are very poor quality.

I am also agreeing with you.
They are very poor quality. Rather you should choose a Sliding Patio door with new design to give a new look to your house.
In this way you can also update your windows and doors design and you don't have to remove the Sliding Patio door also.
