Can anyone recommend a brand of replacement windows for a home? Looking for vinyl, don't want to spend $ for pella or anderson. Heard good things about Simonton, bad things about Alside.

I appreciate the help. thanks

Site for online quotes and warranty information.

You can get a lot of info about the different windows vendors from the web.

There is also a energy window site.

Check out fiberglass. Fiberglass is the greatest thing to come along for windows since slice bread. More energy efficient, much stronger frames. The R value on this frame is crazy high. Double the value of wood. Vinyl is ok, but most people are replacing vinyl after 5-10yrs or less to replace with vinyl and thats a bad investment. Spend the little more for the fiberglass and you won't have to replace them again. Companies are offering a 50 year warranty. I have fiberglass in my home and I love them.
