I'm currently renting the top floor of an old house. Our only access is through (locking) sliding glass doors.

But, with all this freezing weather outside, it's becoming difficult to open the doors when coming home after work.

The doors have actual handles to use when opening from the inside - going out. A few quick tugs and she will open, but it's really tough to open from the outside, because there is no handle.

All you have is a thin metal edge to pull on.

Any ideas on what to use to prevent the door from freezing.
