Bvwindows
I need alittle help, we are building a new home within the next couple of weeks. My builder uses Simonton windows, I've heard the pros and cons about these windows. It seems that I've read more cons then pros. I had people suggest Mavern windows, as well as anderson and pella but are they costly.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

FWIW I have been using Simonton windows as replacement and new construction for years and can think of few 'cons' compared to other windows.

Specifically what have you heard that you or others obeject to when discussing Simonton vs other windows?

I have heard that Simonton windows are drafty and that you get alot of condensation which causes ice in the winter. I'm not sure if it's caused by the installation or if it the window.

I am going to replace the existing windows in my home. I have received bids from 5 companies. Two sell Simonton windows. I would like to know the pros/cons of the windows particularly the Reflections model and Polar Wall model
