I have a couple of old live oaks in my back yard and over the last couple of years I have lost all my grass. I know that this is a common problem...the question is - is there a grass that will survive these acidic trees? I had a mixture of bermuda and carpet grass. There is about 70% shade during the day.

Lime should change the acidity of the soil. I don't know if it will enough to grow grass.
