I just went on line to read comments about Semco Windows. It amazes me that people with so little knowledge blame a window company for their ignorance. There is not a window company in the world that does not have some issues at some point. It is how they are dealt with that counts. My company deals with several window manufacturers, and I can report that Semco does stand behind their warranty better than many others. They go out of their way to take care of their issue. People do not understand that the glass is manufactured by glass companies like PPG and Cardinal glass. When the glass fails if it does it is usually their issue. During the early two thousands the glass companies actually had issues. When Semco has had to deal with these issues whether or not the glass manufacturer stood behind their product Semco stepped to the plate. The people complaining might actually have issues that are installation related or it is also possible the conditions exceed the window tolerances specified by Semco. For example when the winds exceed a certain velocity all windows will leak. They are not built to withstand unusual conditions. As for condensation and ice forming inside the house, that is usually caused by too high a moisture level inside or a window directly above a blown hot air outlet. Andersen actually provides a brochure that describes this condition. Semco is an excellent window company. They are knowledgeable and stand behind their product.
