yes, we too have M&W windows, on our home in NC, which is 16 years old. We have repainted our home several times, but every window in the house is rotten, except those under a porch. This is not normal wear and tear.

Any class action suit going on??
our 16 year old house has every windodw rotten, and some wall damage as a result. It is disgusting!

Our home in NC has M&W, and they are all rotten. Anyone joining you in your legal action?? It steams me to think they will get away with this.
When we built our house in 94 we went
to home improvement shows and talked
not only about windows but everthing
we could think of and what we always
heard was MW or Pella. I wished we had
went with Pella. I have 46 windows in
my home, they don't leak but the vapor
seal between the glass has rusted on
some of the windows (about9 )and have
fogged from the inside. They are vinyl clad wooden low E glass NOT
cheep windows.Will MW replace them,
so far no one will take responceability. My advice is BUY PELLA. PS if anyone knows how or who
to contact about the warranty please let me know farmwillie@aol.com

I have had trouble with rotting frames on quite a few mw windows.
They seem to rot from the inside out, and the paint on the surface is the last thing to go. Our home is 14 years old, and i have had it pressure washed half a dozen times. I suspect that may be when the water has gotten in. It looks like a bad design to me.

My house is only 11 years old and I just had to fix all the trimming around the windows because the wood was rotten. In addition, I had to replace 6 sashes because the seals were broken. I called MW and of course they told me that those windows only had 10 year warranty back in the mid 1990's. So I recommend to those home owners with MW windows to inspect your windows and call MW if you see signs of damage. These windows are HORRIBLE....
