We have had the same problem. MW has been giving us the run around for 2 years.

We need to find a lawyer and form a class action lawsuit.

Our windows are all rotten. 10 years old. Let me know if there is a class action lawsuit.

We have been getting no where with the builder or M & W. Although they keep coming out we contine to have problems with these windows. I've been noticing what looks like black spots, possibly mold on the basement window lower sills. These windows were never painted as of yet on the inside which are wood. Is this what everyone is talking about? It hasn't been more than 8 months since we bought our new home.

Wow, glad I stumbled across this website. I too have MW double hung vinyl windows. They leaky air and water. I have discovered water damage in the walls around all my windows. I had the builder come out and he is going to have some contractors out tomorrow to determine if it is an installation issue. The wind blows along the sides of the windows so bad we stuff rags in the sides during the winter. During hard blowing rain, we get water in the house along the walls/carpet at each window.

I called MW about the wind, they sent me some foam blocks to put in the sides. Ha

we also build an expensive house, being assured MW windows were/are good quality. Every stinking window is leaking air at the middle area. I can see daylight though each side. Jerks.

Is anyone complaining about the MIRA series all aluminum clad windows? My wife and I built a nice home with MW Mira. We paid extra $ to have our home spray foam insulated to make it as efficient as possible. It's frustrating to see the windows soaking wet or completely frozen. I realize the humidity might be slightly higher in a spray foamed home, but this extreme. I build homes for a living and have never had this issue. It's also my first time using MW.

Yes, we have been having the same problem with our new home as well. I think the bulders were trying to cut costs and got these windows cheap. We will never know of course. However, MW replace some of the windows todate and they have the same problems as the ones before. I hate to tell you this but we will all probably have to pay out of our own pockets and replace all of these MW windows. They just are not a good product that I can see. If you have a couch near one of their windows it is freezing!!!!
